Due to the increase in heat, I have decided it’s time to give up the late morning run with the kids for the summer season & go back to actually getting out of bed when my alarm goes off & running early. So this morning I got up & opened the door at 6:30….when i stepped out the heat kind of slapped me in the face. At 6:30. Wow. Not unbearable heat, as the sun wasn’t even shining on me, but more than I had expected. Looks like our first summer in florida is upon us….here we go!
In somewhat unrelated news, i found the following pretty funny:
Yesterday as we passed by an army reserve..um…place..(?? headquarters? i have no idea what it’s called)…building (?), that is a few blocks from our house, my dad (Opa) was commenting on it. I mentioned how a lot of mornings in the winter I saw groups of (mostly) men in their grey Army workout clothes running at the park where i run. Then i mentioned how…well..actually most of them seemed to walk…
